Upular

This is a pretty creative little video/ track my friend Michele passed along to me. Really chilled out melodies and creative video editing make this pretty enjoyable.

Yea, i know, we're a month into the new year, a little late for a "New Year Revamp" but, screw you, I'm busy...and by busy I mean lazy. So the site has changed a bit, no big whoop, mainly to make everything function cleaner and faster; making things easier to find. We'll be adding features as we go along to spruce it up a bit. The main thing you'll see if how the posts appear. Pretty right? To see the whole story simply click on the title or on the picture (if the post is accompanied by a picture).

In light of the new revamp here at djanubus.com ( I love talking about this site like its run by a corporation and not just me and my buddy Matt) I thought I would repost all the tracks I've put out over the last few months in one, easy to get to, post. So, here, for your listening pleasure, are the last few remixes I've put together. As you can tell the majority of my recent work has been in the way of electro music, which I am madly in love with, but, don't fret I still play all that funk. You'll just have to come see me to hear it.

Classic Buffalo get down with Optimus Prime, Lo Pro and myself....that gravy really keeps it fresh.

As a self respecting, mildly elitist, dj there are lots of pop-hop songs that come out on the radio that I really hate. BUT, once again A-Trak is bringing us Dirty South Dance (II). Remixes of all those pop super hits over some serious dance grooves making these tracks not just bearable but, really enjoyable. Electro inspired, radio friendly, club approved. Thanks trizzy! You'll definitely hear this one this weekend.

iPad

No this is not an Apple brand maxipad. it's a giant iPhone. make Serato work on this thing and I'm sold. While it appears to just be a giant iPhone I can't help but wonder what this thing can do beyond being a fun toy. it is yet to see just how touch sensitive it is but, if it had the sensitivity of say a Wacom tablet, this thing could be uber useful not only to Djs but designers as well. Well, I guess we'll see soon enough. Visit apple.com for the whole dealio.

Pretty much the only thing I watch on "tv" (I use Hulu 'cause cable is for suckers) is Conan. As you may know NBC is royally screwing him right now. So, to show my undying allegiance to Coco I am posting this image. Show you're support by visiting http://www.sirmikeofmitchell.com/imwithcoco/ and sharing this image.

Boy 8-Bit - Baltic Pine from bang on on Vimeo.

Boy 8-bit is one of my favorite producers. Here's my latest find of his with an amazing video to boot! Whachu know about babies in bunny costumes showing you how to soul clap?

As many of you know, DJs these days, including myself, get most of their music from digging around obscure music blogs and the like. Reading random blogs is the new record digging. Its not quite the same and you can't get "the last copy" of something but, satisfies the soul non the less. While reading these blogs and grabbing music I realized a lot of these tracks have some great artwork to go with them, or at least a funny picture. So, I thought I'd start sharing them with all of you.
